Any sharing of such information with third parties (such as academic researchers) shall be subject to anonymization to protect individual users’ privacy.
Apps may be subject to data collection by the devices they are run on (such as metrics gathered by the operating system when run on a mobile device). Where it is under our control, we will strive to provide mechanisms for the user to choose whether to allow that data collection. However, there is typically data collection that occurs outside of our control, so users are advised to consult the applicable Privacy and Security Policies of the device and operating system producers and providers.
Apps may also be subject to data collection by third party “app stores” the users acquire the Apps through. Again, users are advised to consult the applicable Privacy and Security Policies of the app stores they use.
